❧ Don't Be a Dick

Don't be a dick encompasses but is not exclusive to: don't godmode, don't murder someone's character ICly without clearing it with them OOCly first, don't harass, mock, rumormongle, or otherwise be a dick to other players in any fashion!

This is really just common internet courtesy and not something we expect to have a problem with.

If you genuinely are having troubles with another player we strongly encourage you to have an honest and fair chat with them in private. If this fails to solve your problems or if for some reason you don't want to do that, please bring it to the mods and we will look into it.

❧ Be IC

As much as Thusia is designed to be a comfortable and easy game, ICness is still very much important. Presumably you apped your character because you love them, so do your best to represent them fairly.

❧ Adult Themes And Also Sex

Thusia is a game that doesn't just allow, but encourages things like sex, mauling, and human sacrifice! We don't have plans to limit what players are allowed to do, so please come to the game prepared both for dark and adult themes.

Also, while sex and really graphic violence are absolutely allowed, we would prefer you carried out anything into the NC-17 range in a FTB (fade to black) post on a personal journal, particularly if you find yourselves getting nasty in someone else's post. It's just polite!

❧ Your Character Is Dead

We're just reiterating this because it's rather important: Prior to arriving in Thusia your character died. Died for good- in their world at least. This is their after life, their second (or third, or tenth..) chance at life, but there's no going home, so they have to make the best of this world. Please keep in mind when choosing who to app that you will have to also choose to kill this character, and while canon updates aren't impossible, they do require some IC shenanigans (talk to the mods) to make it happen. So pick your character from a point in canon that you want to play them for at least a while.

Also, for purposes of not screwing over other people apping from canon, your character's death cannot be from a castmate murdering them unless that actually happens in canon, and you are using that canon death instance. If your character is too powerful to have been killed by anyone not a castmate, you may make it so they can't remember their death, and let them assume whatever they like.

Deaths don't have to come from battle or murder (though we certainly understand if you want them too), so when in doubt your character can always die from an aneurysm, heart attack, freak toilet seat accident... etc.

❧ If You Kill/Die In Game

Notify a mod! Ideally by sending an email to the mod gmail account. We absolutely do not mind killing or dying in Thusia, but keeping track of how often it happen is important, so make sure a mod hears about it.

❧ Activity

Thusia is designed to be a game that is stress-free both in coming and going. As such we make it easy for people to get in the game, and quick for them to go out if they are inactive. The AC itself is very easy to meet, but there is a one strike system in place so that inactive character-slots are always accessible by someone else.

Activity requirements are:
EITHER 40 comments by your character in one month. These may be spread out across a maximum of 4 threads in a minimum of 2 different posts.
OR 1 player-run post and 1 thread of any size in a different post. Any post not locked to specific characters is acceptable, and co-run posts are acceptable as long as all co-runners participate substantially. There is no comment minimum needed for this option.

On the first of each month an Activity Check post will go up. All players must respond to the AC, even if they have a new character and don't need to meet activity minimums.

AC should be met by all characters who have been around for more than a month. You do not need to meet AC the month you were accepted.

Everyone has 3 days to submit their AC. Activity submitted must be from the month before.

Everyone is allowed one (1) Pass, which will allow one (1) character to skip a full AC. However you must still link at least one thread (length doesn't matter) for that character in order to pass.

You cannot Pass on the same character two ACs in a row.

Anyone who fails to respond or does not meet AC will be placed on an AC Reminder list. Anyone on this list must respond saying they will meet their AC, or they are dropping. Anyone who doesn't will be idled after four days.

Anyone on the AC Reminder list wishing to remain in the game has until 8pm CST on the 8th of the month to make up their missing AC. Note that this activity only applies to the previous month, and can't be used on next month's AC!

If you meet AC...
Great! We will see you next month.

If you don't meet AC...
You will be idled! We will send you an email to notify you and you have one final chance to plead your case, but we don't offer additional warnings.

However, don't worry about it too much. If you get idled and still want to play? Reapp. We have absolutely no problem with this as long as it doesn't become a recurring issue.

❧ Apping and Number of Characters

Characters must be apped one week apart, going by when they are accepted, and you may not app a new character until you've been active with your most recent.

You can app up to 5 characters back-to-back this way.

To app a 6th character or more, you must email the mod account providing Activity for your current 5 or more characters. Activity must be provided even for characters apped within the last month. In addition to all of the usual Activity requirements (see above section) threads must also occur with at least two different characters. Once this is mailed to the mod account and checked, we'll agree to allow you a 6th or more character.

The above must be done every time you wish to app a 6th or more character (the AC approves you to app a 6th one time, and does not get you a 6th slot indefinitely). Additionally, each character over 5 must be apped a month apart, by date accepted, instead of one week. This includes character 6.

The above rules apply for any number of characters past 5, and there is no upward limit. That said, please app responsibly.

❧ Hiatus

You may, of course, take a hiatus if needed! However, a hiatus less than two weeks won't act as an excuse for failing AC.

If you are on hiatus over the course of AC, please submit your AC before going. (The mods will ask you about this when you submit your hiatus notice).
